ClimbOn! Bar (Wonder Bar!)

Now I’m guessing that a lot of you will be wondering what this is right? Let me tell you… It’s a little bar of magic!

It’s the Snake Oil of the Old West! 😀

As is says on the tin it’s an “Intensive Skin Repair”, but I think it’s a lot more than that. It’s an essential go-anywhere, can’t-do-without, jack-of-all-trades, wonder bar (excuse the pun!).

The ClimbOn! Blurb:

Climb On! Bar is a 100% pure (chemical free), food grade, skin nourishing product.  We say “If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin.”
This one product can soothe burns, cuts, scrapes, rashes, cracked cuticles and heels, tissue nose, road rash, diaper rash, abrasions, poison ivy…any skin issue that needs deep moisturizing and nourishing. Climb On! Bar was originally formulated for rock climbers. It has crossed all barriers since it works on any skin type and any skin issue. The beeswax is the emulsifier which holds the ingredients together. It acts as a humectant, which draws moisture to the skin. It acts as a natural water resistant barrier to help skin stay protected. Anyone from babies to rock stars use this product. The essential oils of neroli and lavender work their therapeutic properties to help the body bring the skin back into balance. Our body sees Climb On! recipe as a friend not a foe!
Climb On! is for EVERYONE!
Neil says:

I first came across this product a few years ago on a recommendation, from the staff at Altar Rock Climbing Centre in Derby, as a, post-climbing, healing balm for sore hands. As a climber you really don’t want to be moisturising your palms etc, soft hands equal sore hands.
After using it for a while I started to realise the benefits of it’s rapid healing and protection properties and I now use it regularly after climbing, work, mountain biking, snowboarding, and any other time that my hands come under attack from the elements.
In fact during our Himalaya Quest 2012, in Nepal, it became the weapon of choice in repairing and protecting our very battered & blistered feet, and sun damaged lips. I’m not even sure that we would have made it all the way without it! It really did save the day.
And to top it all it soothed my sore and aching hands during The Yak Attack Mountain Bike Stage Race and eventually saved my much maligned bottom from the perils of uncomfortable saddle sores too. (I told you it was good for everything!) I applied it liberally after every stage to ease the discomfort of some very chafed and sensitive areas. I’ll say no more 😀
Of course I have passed on this sage wisdom to a number of other friends and it has become their indispensable friend (A few of whom are normal People!). I think some of them have actually developed an irrational addiction to the lovely, unusual perfume! (I think I have).
Given the quality of  ClimbOn! Bar I am looking forward to trying out a couple of their other products too, including The Sunscreen and The Lip Balm, on my forthcoming trips to Nepal this year.
As an Outdoorsman I also value their Ecological/Environmental credentials and the fact that all of their products are naturally derived. That’s always a big seller for me.

You will find it in many of the better outdoor pursuits stores in the UK priced around £6.25 for a 0.5oz bar or £10.50 for a 1oz bar. Compared to many High Street products this is a bargain and the 1oz bar lasts absolutely ages.
If you find that you can’t source a local supplier then I can recommend The Outside Store in Hathersage, Derbyshire. They have the most knowledgeable staff in the country and it can be purchased online from the link below.

ClimbOn! actually do quite a diverse range of products these days and it’s worth taking a look at their website. Their Bast Apothoke, 100% Chemical Free, Vegan Range may also be of interest to many of you.

Go discover! I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Cera alba (yellow beeswax), Prunus armeniaca (apricot kernel oil), Vitis vinifera (grapeseed oil), Triticum vulgare (wheatgerm oil), essential ois of Citrus vulgaris (neroli), Lavendula angustifolia lavender), Citrus limon (lemon), tocopherl (vit E
